Has anyone gone totally hydrofoil? Stopped tt and surfboards?
Yes, but I'd say the majority still only foil for light winds.
I've gone almost all foil. I'll grab a twin tip when it's over 20 knots sometimes, or shallow spot, but now it's probably 30+ foil sessions for every twintip session (once every 3 or 4 months).

My TT, which I bought early last year, and used 10 times, is for sale. I'm on foil unless it's 22 knots plus. Then on surfboard. I'm 58 soon.

If it doesn't kill you it makes you stronger! Can't wait for some user friendly conditions,
Yep. Get out there and foil in every condition! some conditions are impossible to get out past the breakers. Namely big surf in onshore winds. But if its possible to break through get out and ride. It will make you better.
My most fun session so far was 4m in 30-40 knots on the foil. Challenging as f*** but man I loved it.

What is a TT ?
Is that the one that goes badly both ways ? Haven't' rode one since 2006 ...
I ride mainly foil in the summer when the wind is lighter and there are no waves, strapless surfboard in the winter when the winds are stronger and conditions more extreme.

Update. session #4 went very well.3 hours on a 10 mtr, perfectly powered, waves 2' and smaller, hoverglide with 30" mast..Was able to get up and stay on foil for full runs on both tacks. On my strong side (left foot foward) I could get up on foil with waterstart.Noticed an increase in my ability to make subtle adjustments before I got in trouble. Now I can start working on somehow actually turning .Still took a beating, tweaked foot, somehow elbow hurts, noticed my toes! were sore, must have been from all the action of keeping board and foil going in right direction. So if youre just starting out it is possible to get some of the basics down in 7 hrs or so.I'll stop these updates now,I'm a foiler now(sort of)

Yeah I'm not sure activity trackers really understand kiting. They base cals on heart rate and/or distance covered. Distance covered will be wrong in the same way it would be wrong in a car, but I'm not sure about heart rate. Technically does heart rate rise in response to metabolic demands, so that should be pretty accurate. But even so I used to do 2/3 hour long sessions and was never wasting away
