Now I'm looking at foiling the same way, we'll see what happens. Has anyone gone totally hydrofoil? Stopped tt and surfboards?
pj sofine asked this question in another thread, and would put it up on its own thread just to share what we see:

Around here, the 10-12 who has gone with raceboards, has stopped everything else, TT and waveboards, and solely hydrofoiling.
I can count one hydrofoil freestyler/waverider here that only hydrofoils now and no other boards.
Most still ride on waveboards when good conditions, and some on TTs
I ride waveboards when really good conditions, and hydrofoil in everything else, also when really windy
The ratio hydrofoil versus waveboard days is probably 5:1 and sometimes 10:1 because I want good conditions and wind for the latter (would never go out with a big kite like a 9 m2 on a waveboard), as otherwise way more fun on the hydrofoil especially in waves
