No wind, no problem!
http://www.jetfoiler.com/#intro
And because this is "kite" forum what if a backup system could be made for when the wind drops to much to keep enough kite power?
Wind lines, kite and bar in backpack, and E- foil fly to where you choose.
Even better
A combination hybrid set up using just enough E power with kite to keep up the flight!!!

As DiY-electric-Hydrofoil has shown us, the problem is battery compacity or energy to volume ratio ...
Then the torpedo quick-fix is still to be developped if you want to go back home safe.
Then, taking off from the water with a short and low volume board will not be necessarily easy ....
However, In 2 years time, who knows ?
