Hi, I'm thinking of getting a shorter mast. My current setup is the LF Happy Foil w/full length mast. I want the 30" Hover Glide mast, however, I need someone to tell me if that mast will fit the LF fuse and base plate.

No but you can buy an adapter.
It's somewhat expensive however.
Check houstonkitboarding.com, hopefully they're ok after the storm.
Or you can drill extra holes in your fuselage to take the SS screws, if you are ok with that.
Drilling different holes would move the foil position relative to the mast attachment of course, probably necessitating a change in stance. Easier if you ride strapless.

The width of liquid force base plate is the same as other hydrofoils what is not standard on the liquid force models is the length of the mast plate. If you are like me and have the adjustable liquid force rocket it will accept both the liquid force model mast and the standard. If you have the fixed mount on the rocket fish then yeah the best option is just drill a couple of holes in the slingshot mounting plate. Also liquid force came out with the short mast (this year? last year?) anyway they have the short mast now, so you can get it from them if you prefer. The difference in length is I think just one centimeter, so you shouldn't have to alter your foot position, it's a pretty small difference. The width is 90mm and the length on liquid force is what is difference it's something like 155mm or maybe 150mm when the standard is 165mm.

The new LF short mast is 60cm (23.62"). Too short for what I want.

Got you. Slingshot has a lot more choice in mast heights. Let us know how it works!
