Did I just invent a new trick ? (Probably not)

Postby Øyvind » Fri Sep 22, 2017 1:04 am

Basically just turning the body the other way, as changing direction.

Apologies if this is just a standard turn trick,
I just have not seen it any of the other youtube videos.
The rest of the video available here, if anyone is interested:

I`m new to kiteforum, and sorry if I`m posting not correctly or inappropriately.

Cheers, Oyvind.

Looks sweet!

Some serious balance there!

Not my turf, so no idea if someone else did it before.

Welcome to kiteforum!

Looks cool. I wonder if it's been done on a surfboard before?

nice one, I don't think I have seen anyone else swith their feet the other way around like that. I think when tacking upwind people change feet turning down or upwind either but for gybe i don't remember seeing it like you did. Usually people step up but you did some nice shuffle ;)

Really nice riding. I enjoyed watching that. I've never seen that move before so it could be new. I liked the hand plant flip you do on the board as well. Very smooth.

Awesome Øyvind :thumb:

Really incredible "skills", IMO about same league as Stephane and Greg just your own personal "rough" style so to speak, great :naughty:

It either makes you inspired, or stop hydrofoiling and collect stamps instead, seeing how good some get, compared to myself ha haa

Is it cold ?
Looks like you have boots and gloves and hood.
Or maybe the opposite, full sun protection ?

Of curiosity, what wing and mast size/type are you using here, at the start of the vid the wing looks very SS like.

Have never seen this either, so if you are the first to put it here, it is yours, maybe an "OyJibe" :D

Had you not shared this clip here, I would have. :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:
I second Peter's comment. Except his suggestion that the water might be cold where he rides.
See you soon Oyvind. :cool2:
