Hi John! We are already connected on Woo!..Chuck. Glad to hear this. What is the space difference for the mast from 558 to a comfortable spot for the 637? I'd rather have a frame of reference from you than going through trial and error
.
Hey Chuck! Come see us in Houston when it gets cold up there! I moved the mast back about 2 inches from where I ride the 558. So that may give you a starting point.
Thanks! I moved it forward more yesterday on 558. I have to get everything forward to make room for 633 637 arrivals! Would love to kite down there at some pt. You are always welcome in the great white north as well. We have been connecting with woo people on trips lately. Cool to meet people in person that you get to know through woo.
Two sessions now on the 637 and loving it. Took quite a bit of adjusting to get balance points right....and definitely needs more weight forward than the 558. I think at least 2 inches...hoping I have enough track left for the additional move back for 633...although I am thinking that I will favor the 637 even in light wind. 633 will be fun for playing around on occasion but I like the versatility of the high AR wing!

Cwood,
I posted in other thread: if I'm in light wind 6-8 knots with 13m race foil kite , no waves but want to just freeride. Will 637 race wing be better than 633? I just want it to be easy and enjoyable..

Tom I think its more personal preference and what you mean by "freeride" If you want to work on a large variety of transitions, tricks, boat wakes etc and have really maneuverable and forgiving ride, then 633. The 637 drops off the wing (stalls) quite abruptly.....you can slow it down but not near what is possible on the 633. You have VERY sharp wings and that might deter taking risks and trying stuff due to fear of injury etc.
That said, a race kite is less suited to the above than something faster turning.
I would say that if you want to get the most speed possible under 10 knots and still boost....then the 637 is the right thing....but that isn't what I think of when I hear freeride.
What you learn on the 633 will make you better all around on whatever wing you end up using.

I second this nice description.
I love the 637 and use it almost all the time.
Want to have a 633 in my personal quiver too, but can not keep one for myself yet, customers first...!
Cheers,
Frank

Nice, are you jumping it?
Otherwise I feel it is an amazing strapless foil.
Cheers,
Frank

I learned with straps and will remove backstrap now to support jibing progress. But yes, as I‘m foiling lakes mostly, jumping is part of the game. To be honest, in lightest breezes it‘s hard to imagine to wave the support/control through the straps in very tricky starting procedures. Now I can focus on my kite keeping it in the air - and the board is kind of part of my body. But I will see .. launch conditions aren’t that easy here and once you‘re out you don‘t wanna come back for a swap .. hard to imagine for you guys from endless beaches

I would love to come for a visit.
Riding lakes here too, it's fun!
I think it is more what you are used too and personal preference than related to lake conditions really. Nothing wrong with that of course.
Cheers,
Frank
