Toeside jumps on a foil - tips needed.

Postby fun2kite » Wed Feb 21, 2018 3:42 pm

Hi all,

I searched the forum, but did not find any threads on this topic. Can somebody share tips on how to jump from toeside on a hydrofoil.

I can do jumps from heelside and land pretty much all of them, but can't figure out how to take off while riding toeside. One issue is that I always ride one handed on toeside whereas I always jump with two hands holding the bar on heelside. The balance and body position is completely different.

I am afraid to go into an uncontrolled roll if I just yank the bar trying to take-off from toeside. It is also not clear to me how to land a toeside jump..

Thank you all.

-D.
