One point I did not mention above... In really light winds you can lengthen lines but your kite skills need to be sharp... Nothing worse than overflying the window with long lines - the kite will not fall back in the window fast enough to take up the long line slack.

I agree but this depends on the kite design. HL (like medium ratio kite) should react nicely to this exercise In very light and long lines (limited overflies and good drift)

Btw, I just built my 2nd bar today for foiling. Super thin lines

would love to see your HL tho.
But, strongly recommend using your sb a first few times. If it goes down, you will swim.
If it goes down, it will take water, and if not drained well b4 pulling out, you might rip the panels off. I think my had 100l of water taken in...
