This is all I could find to buy:
http://www.premiumropes.com/ropes-for-b ... tions=cart

I'd be interested in other sources
http://www.infexion.nl/product-categori ... erig/lijn/

Still working on an english site....
Thanks, but your lines go down to 180kg. Not less than premium ropes.

Flysurfer will provide 0.7mm lines if nicely asked for;)
Do you have a contact in FS for that ? I am interested.
I remember seeing discussion with some prices as well, can't find the link tho. Shoot an email to FS...

FWIW I measured the diameter of my Q-Power line bar lines today.

Q-Powerline Pro 600 lb = 1.5 mm
Q Powerline 300 lb = 1.3 mm

This 1mm SK-99 Premium Ropes Alpha Ropes line is looking nice to me. Thanks for the links. I ordered enough for a 20m line set for an old bar that needs refurb.

Here is an option for Liros DC Pro. Maybe will ship to USA? I'm think .83 mm (400 lb) rear and 1.1 mm (584 lb) front. No jumps.

I've gotten me a set of 30 m Liros DC Pro lines (plus leaders), 0,83 mm all four of them, 163 kg.

Have ridden a few times now in marginal winds 5 to 6 knots also when too little to ride but possible to keep the kite flying, with a 12 m2 strutless (Voyager Limited Edition or "4"), and can say that the thin lines definitely makes a difference - kite flies further forward overhead which in itself is a sign of a lot less drag.

And it feels like it accelerates faster when dived or looped - but this can not be quantified I know.

Mine sing a bit in the wind when riding faster, otherwise only advantages.

But will only use them in conditions sub 7 knots :D

Glad you like them Peter :)
Keen to read more when you had more sessions on them.
And if you feel you may wanna try even thinner for the steering lines we will do that experiment too.

Cheers

Well,

it was a quite heated discussion some time ago, and yes, I'm using them all the time, no matter of wind coz using only one bar from 7m to 12m. My PB is ~10m 7secs on Woo 1, flat water, which probably is 14m on Woo2, or 16 on Woo3 :) :) :) :)

Sure, I'm 58-59kg, makes a complete sense to me simply because I'm light. I would argue all riders up to 65kg can only benefit from it, providing taking a good care of them. I do change them after 2 years, or about 200-300 sessions, depending on a season.

100kg rider is not the same as 60kg or less. It really is how much we pulling :) Not that much, or how long is a piece of string (rhetorical question)....

Any update on this? Just made a set of Jerry Brown Line One 300# fronts and 200# steering lines for light wind foiling with big foil kite. How nuts is this? 160# rider.

I assume you mean 300 and 200 lbs? Which is 136 and 91 kg.

Think it will work just fine.

I have been using my 0,83 mm Liros DC PRO as frontlines (163 kg), but have now gone down to o,6 mm rearlines Liros DC (61 kg).

30 meter length plus a couple of meter leader lines (I want the leader lines to spin around each other when looped, not the kitelines) plus foilkitebridles.

Worked fine till now, lets see if they last.

A bit afraid a rearline will snap when looped hard, as steering load on one line only now - but we will see.

Where did you buy your lines from? Are they constructed differently than standard kite lines, or are they simply thinner standard dyneema?

I think it is simply thinner Dyneema lines, but well made.

Dont care about where to get them (but would simply ask Liros if I had to), I am lazy so get "Famous Frank" (Frank Rosin in here) to splice them on ordered length :thumb:

Only thing is, they tend to sing more, these lines.
