That's the area of the 920. I was riding a gutless kite 2m smaller than even the other smallest kite used by a foiler and was powered
light wind foiling with a 7m kite, crazy! Too stable to be fun throwing it around for my taste, although it was bloody good fun just strolling around.

Yeah, why not but i just hate the glide of the speedfire
The carver has a nice glide for its size, I don’t see why the extra big conventional front wing he showed next to the xxlw spitfire would be much worse...
The 7 knot takeoff speed of the spitfire is what keeps me looking for more conventional foils.
The carver at 710cm^2 takes off at 6 knots, I see that as the benchmark for light wind wings for 70-80kg riders. Seems like it would also help for surf/SUP to get up as soon as possible on small or nonbreaking waves. Dropping into the pocket and coming up in foil in front of the wave I don’t see happening until one is an expert - and riding a wave that breaks in deeper water!

I'm using the Iwa with the Dwarfcraft 54" now. Removed the back strap so I could be more forward and not get as much lift. I find the Iwa to be as, if not more, playful than the Takuma v100 clone. The Iwa glides and pumps much better. Love this setup, though I haven't tried it in anything over knee high waves yet. Wish I had got the package with the Kai and smaller rear wing. I've used the Maliko200 to windsurf with and was foling on my third tack. These wings are a blast to ride in smaller waves and lighter wind. If I find a Kai front/rear wings for sale would love to get them. GoFoil isn't offering wings separately, yet.

It is so fun foiling with a big wing , if you are not into racing and going super fast and would rather go slow, controlled and have a surfy type experience try a large surf / SUP wing like the Slingshot H4.

I couldn't agree more! That "surfy" feel is SO AWESOME!

I've not surfed, but have snowboarded. Foiling is kinda like riding through powder...and the bigger the wing, the more gentle the slope
it's really nice not to feel so dependent on the kite too.
