I still would recommend doing a bar line test and a long mixer test. That's an old kite, there's definitely some shrinkage.

It's already been said, but suspicions are out of tune bar and shrunken Z causing too much camber, flow separation at the leading edge, and front stall. Tune the bar, tune the bridle to neutral, evaluate performance, add pigtails or splices as appropriate to resolve flight performance. This site has a great moving graphic in the yellow "Kite" menu that shows what different tuning combinations at the mixer do to kite performance: http://www.lecca-lecca.com/#layer_5

Sounds good. Will look over all bridle measurements...didnt know there were measurements to look for beyond mixer.

Please don't put other FS kites into the same bucket as the Unity. I still, to this day, cannot understand why they released the kite. Truly awful.

^^ I picked one up for my GF to learn on and it suited that at least. Horribly over complicated bridle but it drifted well. Bad hangtime and a small range but when you are learning you don't really need that. Pretty sure the designer is on these forums. He's on Ozone's side now.
