I think we kite foilers have to carry the excess weight from a fuselage, that was designed to match the forces of windsurf boards or alikes. Remember Onda found its way to kite foiling by consumer trials rather than Moses advertising. 2019 I expect those really light wings to be attachable to a much lighter kite fuselage.

Interesting point! But i wonder if the larger spread between wing and stab needs the beefier fuse regardless.

Onda would float with carbon fuselage which is big problem for surf sup use. But then there is no problem making heavier wing with more laminate and less core.
I honestly dont understand why fuse is ALU. Cnc time is expensive so is raw material. It is definately not cheaper than carbon. And it is certainly possible to make carbon fuse as stiff and stronger than alu one.
Especialy for Moses

Who’s it for:

Beginners on short mast.

Intermediates on ANY length mast for learning maneuvers.

Anyone riding on waves especially with any whitewater involved.

The foil is so forgiving regarding stall with ventilation that all of the above are so well covered.

BTW, I can push the foil as fast as I need to go. (No racing for me).

I’m amazed that the performance of this foil seems to be at both ends of the spectrum regarding slow speed lift and stability at reasonably fast speeds. Home run comes to mind.

I am recommending this to any new foilers as first choice.

Hej Foil,

How far is your mast plate rear screws from the tail of your board on the 633?
On the T60 it is 25 cm from the rear bolt to the true back edge :thumb:

I don't know...

As it is with current fuse, my 633 on a 105cm carbon mast already floats horizontally for 15-30 seconds when I fall off. I often need to push it down to maneuver the board. Not sure if I see a downside to the current fuse.

What an amazing wing! A Tony Logosz design, I believe, as is the 590.

Is Tony Logosz designing for Moses directly ? I think his new SS Space foil is a genious design as well

We can now see the downside of Moses‘ choice of connecting wings to the fuselage as chord will limit what is hydrodynamically adoptable to one size of fuselage. SS Hoverglide or Levitaz connecting type gives much more range in this respect, but of course demand more complex wing production.

I‘ve heard Cobra also stepped into carbon foil production with a long term contract with a well renowned fin brand. We will see lots of changes the upcomming years ..

...zeeko and some others are smart enough to make the wing:fuse joint flat. But you can’t have everything!

I think there is a small limited market named racing, which is dominated by Mike‘s Lab foils. Apart from his genious designs it’s obvious that ultimate performance can be reached by a one piece concept or an entity of wings and fuselage only. Any connection points disturb the perfect water flow in those high speed regions of the world cuppers. 51mph Heinekken downwind leg San Fran 🙈 ..
The mass market side will see massive changes IMHO.
Lot of low volume high priced producers will disappear. Kicked out by new technologies, efficient production, of course pricing through economies of scale and sheer marketing power.

One piece wing/fuse seems limited for normal people. It’s nice to have 3 wings mast fuse stab and hardware in a small bag. I can’t imagine wanting to lug 2-3 one-piece foils in a car, especially with other riders and gear along too. On a plane? Forget about it.
51 mph? That kind of speed is like the megaloop of hydrofoiling -everyone is impressed, but few really want to do it.
