So I took a new liquid force mast out this last trip and while packing everything away noticed there was some amount of water inside the mast. Turning it up and down makes a nice waterfall sound. It's internal to the "sealed" section. Googling this doesn't seem to yield any results directly. liquid force told me the sealing never works right and to remove the inserts.
I plan on drilling them out once I get back home. I imagine it's useful to try and limit the amount of water the mast takes on but still wanting to be able to drain it eventually. has anyone tried to reseal them, use caps, or does everyone just run open masts?

I’d say filling it all with insulation foam might prevent water from getting in.
But then again, you’re not going to ride aluminum mast forever, why bother.

Try to figure out which of the plastic plugs is leaking. Remove that plug. Drain and try to reinstall the plug.
If you fail, spray foam the cavity. When using spray foam you’ll need to remove the plug from both ends, so the foam can fill and expand both directions.
