Does anyone have one or ridden one? How do you like it? Debating the going the CR:X or Slingshot as a first foil board.

I have and I like it as a first foil, it was super cheap to buy and it was money well spent. Get a short mast to start and put 3 degree setting at first but ones on long mast switch it to 1 degree

CR:X foil is the Cabrinha low cost chinese foil as Cabrinha is part of Pryde Group.

CR:X just has little higher AR wings and they decided to tell people that a twintip on a foil is a good idea, or maybe just decided that it could be possible to sell this idea to beginners. While all other companies who started > 5 years before, for sure also had this idea, but it seems they decided not to sell something like that, as it just can't work this basic way without making to much compromise to both: twintip and foil. So far just my experience when I tried it 4 years ago. Tried it with a self made twintip, that was build with a too hard flex for a twin tip and still was to soft for usage with foil.

So many nice foils from experienced companies around today, also for good prices, just check the list, good luck:

I thought the idea was to reduce costs for racing -- have a TT that can be TTR then a foil bolted to it for foil racing, everyone with the same gear...

Correct, the idea was for one design low entry point racing on TT and foil. At a basic level the board is just a platform to stand on and a TT can serve that purpose. Not excel at anything but everyone is on the same equipment and therefor a level playing field.

I have a crx, and have ridden the hover glide.

What kind of pricing?

If you can get a crx new, at the closeout price of $620usd, then buy it. If the slingy is the same price new or used (good cond), buy the slingy instead.

i Have CR:X with SU-2 Hydro 2 board - this my first foil after testing Shinn P cr:X was veeeryy fast :) 43km/h is my maximum speed with 2degree rear wing. Before CR:X i was tested Double Agent (very slow, and easy wing with 60cm mast), and Zeeko ( great, but too expensive for me ) Hoover from Slingshot was very heavy, so i decided to CR:X. After two months of using CR:X (now) i was buy Moses Vorace with competition front, and rear wing.. this shoud be much more fast than CR:X, but price is x2 , and is used..

Where can you find the CR:X? I was looking to buy one but can't find it anywhere.
