Hi all, i am a complete newbie but have just assembled and attached a new Liquid Force Fish Foil to a custom board (still not been out).
The foil is new (old 2015 model LF Rocket fishe), and it all goes together perfectly fine but one thing i notice and i am not sure if it is normal is that if you have it all setup there is quite a bit of side to side flex in the mast (like you can push the board from side to side).
Is that normal for aluminum masts to flex like that? How does that work when you are putting it under loads of pressure?

Sounds like something ain’t right.
Likely either not assembled right, or something is broken.
Sorry.
If you show pictures, maybe the problem and solution will be clearer.

Make sure there is no gap between the plate collar and mast. Otherwise, squeeze some fiberglass into the gap and epoxy it.
For 2016 Rocket mast+collar I measured flex being 14 mm or so in 5 kg test. The 2015 LF mast is thicker and should be even less flexy.
