Hi all ,
I just saw this being “invented” in Hong Kong. Looks like an interesting idea to me. I have not seen any videos of this in the water yet.
But any reason this would NOT work? Did anybody try this before? Maybe not this exact implementation, but the idea. Flexible fin as a stab to create forward thrust .

Glad to see someone trying it. My idea was to do it w the main wing, a la Aqua Skipper.
There must be a way to pump more efficiently, and to look more natural while doing it...

An update.. Apparently Grant Harmon is the guy who invented it.
My friend in HK did try his version and said it works! But he needs to find a better fin as this one was twisted he said.

Love it!
Ideally I think something stiffer than a swim flipper would give the power easier/snappier.
Great concept, it will be interesting to see if something like it makes it to production.

Large surface area would probably create too much drag.....
But certainly a great idea...
