Boardriding Maui bar end solution

Postby BigSky » Sun Aug 26, 2018 4:14 pm

I don't believe I've seen this mentioned elsewhere and this company deserves a shoutout. I really tried to embrace Greg's style of winding the lines but I didn't like it, especially for self rescue. I started converting traditional bars using the BRM release and sheeting system. I found this less prone to tangling and far more efficient for self rescue, important when chasing light winds with modest skills like mine. This aftermarket bar end from Shapeways is awesome https://www.shapeways.com/product/ZPBTW ... s-kite-bar. I purchased one and it was delivered promptly and easy to install. I liked it so much I bought a second BRM bar (and Shapeways product) for a longer line length (32m). They are well designed and work flawlessly. If you like the current way, great. If you don't check it out. Cheers.
