Interesting to see how similar the T38 and Groove Skate look next to each other. Groove Skate just a wee bit shorter but I see that Groove just came out with an all carbon Skate XL (130-49-4, 2.6 kg)

MUUUUCH more rocker on the Groove, which is better, IMHO. But you gotta love the full uber light carbon. :) That said, neither one of these boards has a concave top, which is a missed opportunity.

Missed opportunity? :-? Quite funny because that is one reason I replaced my concave deck/waveboard with the T38 now and I couldn't be more happy. In my opinion, concave tops suck for HF. It is much easier to keep control on a flat top.

Nice, glad it works for you as a flat top. I have the Moses t80 LTD carbon race board and love it! It has a flat top as well. Flat, IMO works great in straight like riding, but for waves, carving and freestyle I will always go for a concave deck.

Two of my buddies on the beach now have the board. I held it and looked at it last weekend.
Both like how it rides.. and it looks like a piece of art.. gorgeous board.

But, both already complain how fragile it is.. Dings already on both boards from must hitting it with a bar in the water. Second one arrived with some dings as well.
Because of the transparrent clear finish, all the dings are very clearly be seen. Hmm.. maybe I'll wait for version two as many will probably complain about dings and how fragile it is.
If its carbon Fiber, how is it dinging up? I thought it was bomb proof.

Foil has one .

I’ll probably see him today , I’ll ask him to put a review up !
These boards are a rare item and hard to get hold of, I searched around and found the one that was on display at an exhibition in the UK, board number 3.
so I snapped up that one.
While I was waiting for that one to be delivered I got in touch with Famous Franks and found out the last delivery of 7 boards were due to arrive the next month and all had been sold except 2, and then that would be it, so I put my name down for one of them and it arrived today, board number 56.
So not many in circulation if I have the end of the production run.
They are works of art.
I have been using my number 3 board now most days over the last 7 weeks, in rough heavy seas, the rolling swells of Rhosniger, mirror flat water in lagoons, and the vast expanse of lake Como for 14 days straight, it has been a delight to use from the moment I slide it from its mountings in my SUV, to sliding it back in after another brilliant session, it just works so well in every situation, even body dragging out in horrible onshore winds with overhead dumping waves where the thin edges and lowish volume help cut through the water to get away from the beach,
it never catches an edge when driving down wave faces with aggressive enthusiasm, or when driven fast upwind using the race wings,or across the wind at maximum speed hitting the odd bits of chop at speed has never been a problem, its a gem, and has the looks to melt your bank balance.
Pity there are none left.
or are any still lurking in the corners of a Moses dealer???

if there is no air in the construction, why would heat be a problem?
mind you I do cover up my black bits when left in blazing hot sun as they do get very toasty hot.

open cell foam used in some windsurfer construction used to be a potential problem when travelling by air, and they had pressure relief valves to prevent expansion.

Has anyone got any idea how many T38 boards have been made?
They are a limited production run, and I have just received number 56.
I believe this was in a batch of the final run.
What's your number
Here is mine
