Has anyone ever used a Flysurfer Peak with a foilboard? If so, I’d love to know about the experience, including how the Peak affects upwind performance.
Thanks,
John

Yes, I have a Peak3 12m I use with big SUP foils. Here's my rant on it
http://kiteforum.com/viewtopic.php?p=1015681#p1015681
edit:
Just read my old rant and the few things that I can add. I now use itwith the GoFoil Iwa (much bigger than the Takuma v100) and I can get upwind in less than 8mph. 6mph is still about the limit for me. I've gotten up on the foil after I measured 4-6mph on the beach but it was probably a gust when I got going. Keeping ground is hard if the wind's flaky but it helps to learn pumping the foil. If the kite's wet the easiest way to get it up again is with a running start on the beach. I've swam in with it a few times now and even though it's much easier than my 17m R1, it's a little harder to fold it properly in the water because it starts to sink fast. If you fold it wrong the water gets trapped in the leading edge pocket and creates a bag full of water when you get to shore (still better than a wet and full 17m R1).
Overall I'm quite happy this kite being my session saver instead of the big kites now. The price point to just do back and forth tacks in ultra light wind is much more appealing than $2-3k for the other foils. There's a few other single skin foil kites out there but I haven't read any reviews/comparisons on them being faster or having more power than the Peak3 12m. From reading some stuff from the land guys on powerkiteforum it could be that Flysurfer specifically designed it to not have a lot of lift? Or perhaps it's just not possible with a single skin? I don't know but would be awesome if they could speed it up and add more power.
