because I want to know what the possibilities are right now. I am interested in the speed and dependence of the shape of the wings, and sanding, removing imprefections, the level of water salinity. I collect data on various wings and kites.

My peak 1 second speed is 33.86 knots (62.7 kph). lecca-lecca MINIMAbeta 11M2 (disclosure - I design and sell those). Mikeslab Bullet 4. Powered up, I'd guess 15 knots or so, and I was about 120º off the wind. -stef

So you could write this as an explanation and the lead up to your question.
Or it's just another pool, for which I've no interest for.

Haven't tried for max speed runs, and have only had the GPS with me twice now but both sessions got almost the same top speed so it seems consistent...
10m Switchblade, Axis Ride and S-series 820 wing, 12 to 15 knots: 35.3kph or just about 20 knots.
