So, in same order as posted, of course profile and outline means a lot but the outer measurements are the first we meet and also crucial in terms of how fast they turn versus how lousy they go upwind.
AR = span*span/area:

Ketos 1200 ....... Area 1200 cm2 span 66.0 cm AR 3.6
Kenalu ............ Area 1500 cm2 span 77.5 cm AR 4.0
Axis 820 .......... Area 1490 cm2 span 82.0 cm AR 4.5
LF Impulse ....... Area 1126 cm2 span 61.0 cm AR 3.3
Moses Onda 633 . Area 1239 cm2 span 63.3 cm AR 3.2

It seems the first popular wings in this category were around 1100-1200 cm2. Now I see more people kiting on 1400-1500 cm wings. Mine is 1126 (LF Impulse). I wonder if a bigger wing will be even better for small waves.
You get more glide, need less power and speed. So yeah :)

I was thinking that when I put the 820 on the 75cm mast -- kept poking a tip out and falling. Then I got used to it and I'm not really sure I'd want to go longer, although I'd like to try 82cm -- halfway between the two  Wind is dead onshore at our spot, "waves" come in slightly cross-on...goes upwind more than well enough.

I recently broke a board after foiling into the sandbar on a low tide day. I’m glad it wasn’t the foil. The waves were forming up nicely tempting me to be careless.

That sounds good :D . My concern is that such a large foil (1500cm) will have too much lift and be difficult to control

NO....

I own lots of wing sizes because I Don’t just kite, I SUP foil. You need huge wings to pump into waves with a SUP.

You don’t need huge wings with a kite. The wings like your LF impulse are a perfect size. it pumps great on small boards. As well as the huge wings on huge SUP.

Oversized doesn’t gain you anything. It just makes you slow.

My regular is 630 sq.cm. The large/thick is 1239 sq.cm. One in between is about 800 sq.cm. (thin though). Guys riding Space Skate (H4) and infinity 76 (both about 1500 sq.cm.) are pretty happy with them.
Are you saying that above 1100-1200 size you didn’t experience less kite needed or lower possible lowend speed?

With my poor level in waves, it is too me an advantage to "stay" in the wave and not cross it too rapidly ; wave goes slowly , so it is appreciated to limit the natural faster acceleration of your hydrofoil IMO ; also useful to turn on the wave with a small radius ("around the mast") rather that needing a large radius like smaller wings (at my level at least)

I have to disagree with this. I demo'ed a Slingshot Infinity 76 surf foil and found it to be wonderful to kite with. It has a stated wind range of 8 - 22kts. On the day I tried it I had winds of 12 - 15kt and my 6m kite was plenty for my 81kgs. The Infinity 76 is 1536cm2 from memory. I could foil at a medium jogging pace but when I pushed it, the speed was impressive.

That was how I snapped the LF Fish

I have to agree with this  Sure you're not going to win a race, but 20 knots is fast enough.
