Recognize this mast?

Postby loco4viento » Wed Nov 14, 2018 8:34 pm

Does anyone recognize this mast? Carbon with four M6 brass nuts on the top, three at the bottom. I’d like to buy one in a 60-70 cm length.

Thanks for any suggestions.

John

While were are on the subject of MASTS.....gonna go WAAAAY out on a limb here and ask if ANYBODY can possibly COMPARE the 2018/19 SLINGSHOT mast PROFILE (camber and lenth) and bolt hole position with the standard ZEEKO aluminum masts??

Would be SOOOO sweet if they were the SAME and I could use my long zeeko masts with the new FSURF infinity 76 package (which comes STOCK with only a 55 cm long mast as I understand it)

Anybody?? Anyone?? BUELLER?? BUELLER???

thanx in advance!!

The Slingshot aluminum masts are 11.4 cm front to back, and 1.5 cm thick at thickest point, with the center of bolt holes at 2.4 cm and 7.55 cm measured from the front edge.
Good luck! Can always drill for your hole spacing on fuse.

For anyone who might be interested in more Frankenfoils options heres one-
Slingshot mast will fit into the recess on the Naish fuselage with only minor dremel modification to fuse or mast at the rear of the slot, and new bolt holes drilled in fuselage. Fits snug at sides.

Sorry OP hope you find answer!

Disclaimer: I sell these and a few others...

Can't help with the Zeeko business, but I have the FSurf and the mast is 24" (61cm), not 55cm. I love this thing and have been riding the crap out of it! Hope that helps! :thumb:

Hi John,
sorry never seen this construction but, also never seen anything similar from point of force transmission. The top head on the end is a box system similar to known kf-box or tuttle with the difference that those boxes have more than the dopple of the length, therefore I would have big doupts that this connection will break very soon, not even talking about last nut is in an open whole at the point of highest load :o I may be wrong, but without seeing people using this box for a long time without issues, I would never buy it.

Just a very slight 1.5 mm elongation of bolt hole only but not needed for head of the bolt

Looks like a mast from the c1 foil from rupel watersports on ali express. If you message them they can make you any size mast you want but just the mast shipped is 70% the cost of buying the whole foil.
