Hi All,
Can anybody advise on the material of the depower rope on sonic bar? Mine is getting really worn and I want to replace it.
What type of rope in bulk should I buy to be able to make depower strips for myself going forward?
I need the diameter and name of the material and maybe a good website where I can obtain it.
Thank you all,
-D.

Get a replacement from your dealer.
It's just Amsteel/Dyneema of about 6mm, but (unless they've stopped doing this) with another line spliced into the center. If you've a new kite that's under warranty, use the OEM part.

Marlow Excel d12.
Hang on Kamikuza, did you just suggest that one has to use OEM depower rope to maintain warranty? Is that what you just wrote?

Would you be inclined to honor warranty claims when the user had cobbled together replacement parts?
It was meant as a suggestion, but if you want to read "has to" into it, that's your bag.

He's just wanting to replace the rope. I've made my point.

Who told you replacing this line invalidates the warranty? who told you this? I want his name.
