The Pulsion sounds great! What do you think would be my lowend with the 12 (light version) and a 145*45 superlight lightwind TT at 62kg?
Hello ,
I am your weight and used my pulsion 12m with hydrofoil but also small and big light wind TT ( door 160 * 45 as far as I remember) for one year now; here are my low ends with the 12m (wind at 10 -15m height, so you can remove at least 2 knots if measured on the beach):
- foil : 5-6 knots
- Big TT door : easy in 9 knots , extreme low end not tested ; I met a guy on the water with a Speed 3 21m , +10 kg but a even bigger door ( 170) , and I can ride like him if not better with higher speed ; jumps posible at that wind;
- small TT : 129*33 North Xride : 12 knots
-snowkite : 4 knots

Last year I was a bit alone to describe all the good points of this kite and make me believed; now in France, we have plenty of good feedbacks : I am personally aware of about 12 people who tried it, only 2 did not fell in love (one Flysurfer lover and first time he was trying line extensions , while strong wind, the other strutless kite user but he choose the standard cloth instead of light cloth for light wind ...), but all 10 other loved and bought one , considering it is the kite to have in your quiver (except one who has not enough money but would have loved to) ; just to highlight that its all-round performance is appreciated from hyper light wind lovers to waves or hydrofoil or snowkite.

I bought a 15m for extreme light wind records (not a reasonnable gift ...) , maybe I'll try the 15m today with a TT. But the 12m is more all-round at least for hydrofoil. For TT application you could consider the 12 or the 15 IMO, knowing that the low-end is comparable to a bigger kite (+2 m2 , foil or LEI).

My kite buddie (15 years kiting, only flies foils, strapless surfboard and hydrofoil) after seeing my 12 m Pulsion Light decided to get a Pulsion 12 m. Here is his comments
"I went to Beaverton this afternoon wind was probably 5 - 8 knots occasionally coming up to maybe 10 - 11. The Pulsion was the easiest water starting kite I've ever used. Late in the session I dropped the kite in about 5 - 6 kts and thought it was over. It reverse launched, spun in the air was up almost instantly."

If your looking for a light wind foil kite - put it on your list.

yes, same for me and actually and from all testers I know it is indeed the best low end kite ever on a hydrofoil. And so plug-and-play that you can easily use it and it goid boost durong loop very efficiently.

Another very good video from Stephane Goffinet ,a complete tutorial to use the Pulsion with a lot of humour (sorry text is in French).
Look at the relaunch from water starting at 2:25

I was on on my 12 m Concept'air Pulsion Light and Foilboard. In 4 kts I could keep the kite in the air while my kite buddie with a 15 m LEI was floating around in the water. Once it hit 8 kts I was away and foiling and the 15 m was still in the water. Once it hit 10 kts my friend was able to water launch. In the 14 - 16 kt gusts I was overpowered (73 kg).
For all those looking for a light wind KBH solution the Pulsion is a solution.
I have no relationship with the company.
