Mr Foilholio, it looks like you're going to have your first citizens arrest of a kite designer for fraud. You must be excited.

Yes a line like that will produce a Y effect. I think Y lines are BS. Inflatable or foil there is only benefit to having a longer V. The V on the front is the primary bridle, the longer it is the lower angle it forms, the result is less pressure between the line or bridle points. End effect is the kite should be more flat with longer V and more arced with a shorter one. I think the longer the V the less pressure on the upper bridles too, so they can be shorter too. If a kite needs a smaller arc it should just be designed to have it on regular V anyway. I would never buy from a brand that uses Y lines, just one more indicator of poor design, add to the long list of poorly designed things , especially on inflatables.

Real winners never wonder Y ken winners can't design winners. What a fucking name anyway? ken winner? it's almost like a porn actors name.

The high Y on the older Frenzies and and manta's enabled less parasitic drag. But the safety was dumping the kite on the front 2 lines. It basically didn't work in high winds. You still had too much power. So back to 4 lines and a flag out safety. Much safer.
