Advice needed for expanding my kite collection

Postby vjanda » Sat Jul 23, 2016 2:49 pm

After taking a decade long break from power kiting I am back at it. :thumb:
I got a big buzz for my 2 kids and a 2.4m sting for myself.

I'm now looking for 2 new kites to add to the quiver.

First one should be a 4 line foil between 3 and 4m and wilder than the sting I have.
Ideally it will allow me to make small jumps on land with a softish landing if possible.
I used to have a blade iii 3.3 but as far as I can remember that was a beast even when I was younger and fitter.
Looking at the rage and blade iv.

The second kite should be something that will be good for body surfing with a harness and water relaunchable.
The pl hydra perhaps?

I don't mind getting older sh models on fleabay.

Any advice is very welcome. Cheers !

Pansh. The Adam is nice kite, water relaunchable and "4" line but not depower, rear lines are just brake/ steering , so would be best on handles.

note their prices are half at checkout because of the current special. Click buy to see.

I would recommend the Genesis which is basically the Adam with a depower system(mixer), but I like quite a few got one that had a few issues. The main being the Z bridle is well, designed like crap. If you are willing to spend an hour or less fixing it up, which is a lot less than converting an Adam to depower :-), it is however quite a nice kite. viewtopic.php?f=197&t=2392917&hilit=genesis
