The wave 6,5 looks great! Range on Hydrofoil??
I am not hydrofoiling so difficult to say. I know that with 4.5 some riders go as low as 15 knots wind, which is my low low end with the 6.5 on a strapless surf board with some volume (I am 63 kg) but I think I am ok with 18 knots (up to 30 knots with 30+ gusts).
I had some other sessions with 4.5. A very good one two weeks ago with some pretty good waves (overhead) and good on-shore wind (25 knots+). The Wave 4.5 is really a very good wave kite, it opens new horizons. There is no need to move the kite all around while surfing ... I can even put it on one side of the wind window and it goes backward while I surf towards it (onshore waves). This is really something else, and not only for hydrofoiling in waves, all the focus can be on wave riding by using less and less the kite. Now surfing without kites and kite surfing with the Concept Air Waves is more and more similar. Learning in one activity benefits the other activity (and vice versa).
Now some tubes guys come to discuss the possibility of having a quiver (in particular for travelling) with a surf board + surfoil + 1 or 2 CA Wave to surf / surf foil / hydrofoil with a kite / kite surf with the surfboard without foil. They think that they can cover it all with the quiver.
Benoît is still working on the development of the Waves, they improved along the way with all the feedbacks that he receives and now there are very good hydrofoilers using them in waves as well. He has a good panel of opinions.
