HQ Matrixx III? Something from Pansh(half price sale going on)? Chrono? Something else? ...
Hi rtz,
don't know the Pansh and Matrix just Nr. I too long ago. If you find a 12 m² or 10 m² Flysurfer Speed 4 Lotus for a good price this can be interesting. If you want something that will never cause you big trouble relaunching. The 12 is very beginner friendly but still interesting enough, the 10 is even more livelily but no problem, especially as you already have good experience. The 8 is not bad, but not so nice compared to the other two.
But its always about what you are looking for. The Lotus is for sure tame but still sportive, I used both mentioned sizes two years ago and world cupper Peter Müller was a lot on the 15 m² having fun for sure and another friend and very good and experienced soft kiter is actually still on the 10 m².
But if it is more important to have the most extrem, hardcore race kite on the beach and "IN" the water than IMHO go for a R1, Chrono, Sonic or Diablo:

My preferences are to come back 100% with the kite in the air as long there is enough wind to launch and relaunch it, which is around 6 knts for the Lotus.

I am sure you are going to make a good decision.
(and to add an extra one:
This very talented friend with around 8 years of experience on high AR water soft kites, doing big kiteloops with tubes and soft kites on the second flour, etc. said more than 2 times: "Thank you for the advice, to put my sonic aside for learning foilboarding and to buy a Lotus."
