Foiling with a single skin seems to be the thing for lightwind.

wtf bruh! 10 minutes of video and 30 seconds of the kite. I want to see the kite not these ding dongs yammering on like clowns That said . . I want. Gimme. This monjet ninox looks so much like that ozone xxlite single skin paraglider that I have to think they stole all the ideas from ozone and peak. But I mean stolen the ideas in a good way.
The bad thing is they showed the monjet ninox prototype back in 2015. So it's been two years and well, I don't want to be the first one to buy it now in 2017. I'll be the second person to buy it if it gets good reviews.
The other single skin I have seen is that peak single skin, seen it flown over the winter very nice kite but of course not much structure so it's best in steady winds, not as good in gusty conditions.

Now that they are figuring out how much double surface is really needed, and getting rid of what is not needed, maybe they can also figure out how to get rid of some of the seemingly 100's of bridle parts.
Reminds me of figuring out 4, 3, 2, 1, 0 strut LEIs over the last 8 years or so...
That said I'm sure for racing and other needs there will always be room for thicker profile high aspect lift machines with a million cells and bridles.

I love where the design has gone. I have been dreaming about foils with single skin TE sections maybe the last third single skin the first two thirds double. I think the balance improvement and flag effect on the TE will make it an incredible kite for drifting on waves. Now seeing something close to what I imagine on video it reinforces my beliefs. I have been having some new ideas. The single skin TE section is collapsible in sections, each with their own bridle row. With maybe 2-3 collapsible sections, it may be possible to have one kite change say from 8m to 15m, etc, would be interesting.
