I checked the ABC and there was 30mm between them , which seemed odd on a brand new kite.
I have a 17m R1v1 I bought new with the exact same issue. It barely has any hours on it and the lines are not equal. I thought that was a bit strange. I can now get it to fly in fairly light winds but it's not the light wind miracle I was expecting.

Ozone should be doing better than this.
My pansh aurora2 came new with less issues than your r1s

How do you check them? All three need to line up in a row and it does not matter if that row is on an angle when the pigtails are equal because the angle is constantly changed by trimming the bar. Id dit not have to trim the speed system the year I used the R1, but ABC was was always on an angle if you aligned the pigtails.

Also the R1 is the most heavy race kite to date and needs more speed to generate power compared to other racefoils, therefore it can be quite hard to control or get the power you need in the low-end.

Cheers guys , looks like money wasted then !

It's an expensive mistake :-(
Have you extended the Brake line (KR1) ? This should solve the tip tucking.

In no way is it a waste of money. It still is a great kite. I still use my 15m R1v1 to train on and can get competitive speeds and angles on it.

You can PM me and I will help you to get it flying well.

Hello Flag53
I flew my Chrono V1 (18m) on the side of the window for a good 20mins on the beach while talking to a friend without issue. This was in very light winds and was maintaining “subtle” bar pressure as needed to keep the kite stationary. With your kite being new with very little flying hours, I certainly wouldn’t expect the need to be making any adjustments.
Just out of interest what kites have you been flying before purchasing the R1?
