Hi all I'm just after some advice please .
I bought a Ozone R1 V1 ( new kite ) as it was on offer and thought it would be good as a light wind hydrofoil kite.
In 12 mph winds it is awesome , fast and great to fly.
Anything less than 12mph and if you take it to the side of the wind window i.e walking out to the sea , then the bottom wind tip tucks or completely collapses.
I checked the ABC and there was 30mm between them , which seemed odd on a brand new kite.
So I added the pigtails as suggested by Gunnar which did tame it a bit.
It's a 13m , has anyone else had this problem or any recommendations as to what to do ?

Quite normal tbh. Keep it closer to 1.30 and bar in a bit it should be fine. In low winds most kite tips can loose pressure but the r1 like the chrono are well known for it.

Sonic2 is a MUCH easier kite to fly than an R1V1, probably the easiest race foil to fly on the market today.

Untill they pressurise they too can be a git to launch but do hold their shape better.
Personally the Diablo's are my favourite. Even with bad piloting at times ive never had a tip tuck.

Perhaps try back stalling the kite a little or a little more bar pressure to keep it in the window more? They, and other high aspect foils, take some time getting use to and need to be flown around a bit. I fly my 10m r1v1 in less and my 15 is good from around 8-9ish mph but it took some time to learn how it responded in light wind as they get temperamental.

I have a 17m R1v1 I bought new with the exact same issue. It barely has any hours on it and the lines are not equal. I thought that was a bit strange. I can now get it to fly in fairly light winds but it's not the light wind miracle I was expecting.
