12m2 is already in production.
The 12 production version is the one after the FLY!4 ? (The Free RS?/FLY!5 ? -It doesn't show on Kitech's website)
I would like to know too. Is Free RS higher aspect or just new iteration of FLY 4?

This is from Kite Hydrofoil Miami : "first impressions on the new Kitech Universal Ram Air Kites Free RS (Ride and Style)

Just received my new 12m and took it out for a spin. The first look is impressive as the visual points on the kite had been significantly improved. The graphics looks cool, the fabric and the lines are high quality and the colors are vivid.

Setting up of the kite was easy. I only slightly pre-inflated it to see how the tips are filling up. The air nicely and quickly rams into the cells, the valves close and the kite becomes rigid, so even in low winds does not show a tendency to fold the tips (pls check on videos). This is very impressive especially in the conditions I was riding as during turns wing tip folding most of the time difficult to correct on the go and the rider needs to get into the water to refill and correct it. Today the conditions were very light: on shore 4-6knots, deep in the ocean about 11knots maximum flow. I was jibing left and right to be able to keep the momentum. During downturns the kite kept its shape helping to power out of the turns.
Bar pressure is lighter compared to the predecessor Fly4! The turning speed is faster and kiteloops are a lot of fun. The turning speed of the kite also comes handy as it generates tremendous amount of power, which at the same time is under control by pushing out the bar. So, water starting in light winds, roll tacks, 180s, 360s are coming very easy and the kite challenges you to do more and to push it harder. I can see that powered up the kite will be great for floaty transitions, board offs.
The aspect ratio of the kite is higher and it looks more slender in the sky. At the same time the it travels very fast, very much like race kites. I was able to attain the fastest speed on my Levitaz Cruizer (43.8km/h) so far despite of the light wind speeds. The slack line stability: drifting is also excellent and cannot wait to check the new 6, and 9m for riding the waves. Did not jump today, but expect to be lofty and exciting. Hope to ride it in the next couple of days and will keep you posted on jumps, relaunch and maneuvers. "

Yes the Free RS it is. I had no chance to test it yet but looks promising. As soon as I get my dirty hands on it I will give you some feedback, hopefully next week if we have wind.
Did you get to fly the FreeRS ?

Not yet... I will have less time for kiting during the next weeks but will give my input as soon as I tried it!

Its been a while but Today I had a chance to test the FreeRS 12. Wind conditions were horrible lulls to zero gusts to 20-25 km/h with direction shifts. For LW hydrofoil THIS IS IT! Quick turning (at least the same speed as the previous 9m2), constant pull while looping, good drift during jibes and downwind.

The bar pressure is less than previous Kitech kites but still enough for feedback, gust handling is also good for a foil.

During the second part of the session the wind picked up to 35-40 km/h at least so changed to a strapped SB (basically my HF board without the foil). Was not able to test hangtime while HF strap position was all wrong for jumping.

Anyway my 15m2 gets retired and will pull the trigger on the new FreeRS :)

Thanks for the (short) review :thumb:
It sounds like the Free RS is a super light wind weapon for foiling. AR and performance I guess is similar to Ozone Hyperlink, but at a considerable lower price ?

I got the tech info from Attila Károly (Kitetch designer) on the FreeRS 12 m2

Flat / Proj. Area 12.0 / 9.65 m2
AR 5.2
Nr of Cells: 31
W Span: 7.9 m
Center Chord: 1.83 m
Tip Chord: 0.77 m
Weight kite with speed system and lines: 2100 g
Canopy material: Dominico D30
Lines: Liros
Bar: Carbon 55 cm
Flying Lines: 350/250 kg grey/red 4 x 21 m

So AR and weight is close to the Ozone Hyperlink 12 m
