I can’t find it now, but I’m sure I read somewhere that the Soul uses “non-distorting” nylon battens in the leading edge. (Please correct me if I’m wrong)
I’m always conscious of not packing my kites away to tightly and often don’t leave them in the bags for long time.

Could anyone who has used the Soul on water give me an idea of low end of the 12m? I can currently get going (on a twin tip, not taken up foiling yet!) at about 8 knots with a Chrono V2 and had been considering getting a 13m Chrono V3.
Can just about hold the Chrono V2 up to 20 knots but it is sketchy. Soul looks interesting but with only 12m or 15m on offer I think 12m would not have enough low end and 15m not enough high end (compared to the Chrono V2). Relaunch on one line is an interesting change for foil kites although not unique to the Soul since the Hyperlink will do the same. Now stuck between Hyperlink UL 12m, Chrono V3 UL 13m or Soul 12m! Middle class problems...

The Soul is unfortunatelly not a very light kite ; that may be detrimental to extreme light wind for light riders.

Internal construction including oval openings in inter-cells and profile adjustment inside the kite are very interesting .
It is more light weight kite than Speed5, however. Compared to even more light weight Pulsion Soul has considerably less drag due to much higher cell count and more sophisticated bridle.

According to my experience kitesurfing is not worth trying if you have to struggle keep FS foil kite in the air. Those who can do it are exceptional people and for "normal" kiters their opinions are perhaps not so relevant in that respect.

I don't see anything that special in Soul construction, though it is apparently most advanced kite in its class. Oval holes in H-ribs are for saving some weight. There is also more span wise straps than before. Airfoil looks quite thick to me but it is difficult to judge from the pictures.

What does "profile adjustment inside the kite" mean?

Yes, unfortunately just tested it once seriously, in the midle of this video, but looked great, did not even need to stop for it until it was coming up again ...
.. and this in not more than 10 knts of wind. :D

Yes, we use ridgid foils at at the Soul. We have the same in Sonic Race and Sonic 2/FR since years.
We use only fully flexible/elastic once, different to some other brands.
Just pack it like you want. We had no customer how had every any problem.

Here you can see them in the german video :

Looks like the FS Soul might be the ideal kite to allow me to ditch my small inflatable kites. The Speed 5 is a wonderful kite, but I found that I don’t feel comfortable self-launching my 9 Meter in the strong, gusty we get here on in-land lakes. So, I use Inflatables in the smaller sizes, but I really like the convenience and flying characteristics of my FS foils compared to the small inflatables. I would love to see a video of the Soul in high winds, launching, landing, etc.

Has anyone been able to compare the FS Soul and the Kitech FRS? I think these two might be even more comparable than Hyperlink and Soul.
