Thank you officer. This is not the first time either. The Florida Bum Boys have been at me for a while. They are like the Beach Boys except they sing worse and spend most of their time not in the beach but in bums.

What does all this BULLWASH have to do with the Pulsion 18?

If asking your other account won't help I am not sure what will.

I got (again) a Pulsion 18m , as I wanted to test a new knot setting to confirm or not that my lower end was similar but not better as Pulsion 15m ;

So, I just tested an extreme camber on the pulsion 18 (beyond the existing knots), stability is still applicable. On p12m it was a bit too much; on P15m it is the best setting I found for marginal wind ;

I had a ton of power in 5-7 knots and very good speed with HF.

Still not sure though that i can ride in lower wind than pulsion 15m, but maybe a little bit (with 34 m lines). In similar lull, i would say that p18m is more tricky to save from a bath... and larger turn = waterstart is only a bit earlier and only if very steady wind (rare in 4-5 knot) while risk to put kite in the water is higher and kite more tricky to roll in the water (experienced)

Interesting as I have gone away from high camber, but I will have to play with it some again. Not on Pulsion but I have no issues water start with 18m in 3-4knots and 15m in 4-5knots. I think you should try a larger hydrofoil wing and also learn to pump start.

I have always found stability, low flying limit and ease of handling better the bigger the kite.

I am not sure we can base our analyses on windspeed values, when below 6-7 knots: it is really subject to measure method and material, hence rider. For example my personal wind meter can show 0 knots whime the offical wind leter 10 m above shows up to 6 knots...

I honnestly know no foilkite that hang up, remains stable or relaunch (if rapid relaunch) easier than Pulsion, you should try to get your opinion on it, ot is impressive. And without claiming being an expert, i experienced a lot a lot of relaunch from water, waterstart, ect, with a lot if other brands... no competition (on this feature i mean , i am not making a general judgment).

I think our different point of view (if any) is mainly due to our different wind speed reference . In "my 3-4 knots" which is an official wind leter at 10 m, a prak wilm harfly stay in tje air if not worked out properly, nothing will relaunch since the wind does even not keep the kite in shape nor the line tensioned even when leading edge is already upward... Anyway, it is not the topic here, sorry for my disgression my friend.

My foil is either a 850 cm2 or 1200cm2 . Larger would not help for my weight. I think my limit in term of lower water start is 1000 cm2 with pumping. I know how to pump the HF but is useless with my 60kg and the 1200cm2 (i use it on the 850 however);

Back to pulsion 18m: yesterday there was about 6-8 knots which starts to be the high wind range for me and p18. Tested in shorter 25m lines, still very high camber. I got real pleasure and comportable margin in upper wind. Kite being slower in turn than p12 or p15, the tranistion timing should be re-adapted (for example the "pivot-gibes" need to start with a kite higher in the sky when 8 knots)

To take a step further, in marginal winds a our South wind has just a little more power than our North wind as measured by multiple airport sensors on multiple sessions. I wonder if it involves sensor calibration or wind speed variability or something else but my ability to keep the kite in the air is better in our warmer South wind. So comparing wind speed between location gas almost no meaning at all IMO.

Indeed, plus wind gradient in the 10 first meter above water + wind meter type , calibration and quality (very sensitive just before it stops turning around 4 knots)
