Can some one tell me. If you pull the bar down hard o the 15m when down looping the kite does it do a sharp loop without pull? Is that where is I was going on trying to downloop transition it kind of megaloooed and was a bit scary on such a big kite. I would like to get an understanding of how to loop wih little power. I take it putting the kite to zenith before cranking the bar will also help with loosing a little wang in the loop?

Downloop transitioning works pretty well on the 12m although it does pull quite a bit, and I did cock this up fairly royally yesterday when I download transitioned near to the shore, misjudged how much it would pull, ran out of water and ended up dragging myself across the beach! I'd think you would want at least a 55cm bar to get the 15m turning fast enough. I use 55cm on the 12m.

It definitely has a power spike on a loop that the Sonics don't have. Notice it on Gybes on foil and find that if I don't sheet out quite a bit then I'm gonna go over the handlebars. I do like the linear depower of it though!

yes if you pull the bar close to vertical it will make a high almost powerless loop, once you have flown the kite a few times you figure it out . i was downlooping my 18 in 12 kts on hf with no issues, just make sure your pointing more down wind or loop high or sheet out and any combination of those. you have a lot of control with this kite and very predictable once you learn what it can do..

....and yes the kite should be at zenith before you loop, i have even started bringing it past zenith to the other side in light winds before looping. gives you nice and more power through an ultra light wind transition, and its fast enough to do it, the 18m.

If you back stall or heli loop the kite it will have less pull. You can use back stall on the bar or pull on a rear leader.

I use this technique to untwist my front lines , in ride or in static. Works great.

Just to show what the Soul 12 is capable to offer in a wind range of 10-14 Knots here's the video of my first summer session with It.
PS: my weight is 76 kilos

I took my 12m Soul out on a moses fluente yesterday (80kgs). Started at 8knots and wind suddenly picked up to around 20-22 knots.

I thought I was going to die. I have the ozone race bar with 60cm of depower but it still wasnt enough. I dont know how these racers can hold down so much wind.

Came back and swapped foil board for a twin tip and did some awesome jumps but was still overpowered. I recommend keeping the 12m under 20 knots unless you weigh a bit!

Still exploring the low end. Have had it going ok in 6 knots with kiteloop water starts (foil board) 17m lines.
