I'll just add that I used the repair tape that came with the kite. It's white nylon with adhesive on one side. It's so thin that you don't even really notice it even though there are some big strips over the orange part of the kite.
Also the kite has been wet several times since I repaired it and I dropped it in the seeweed in a lull. The tape shows no signs of coming off. It makes a very good repair.

The tape works very well. I've got a bunch of tape on my Ozone foil that ripped. Avoid the hassle and tape it yourself. But I'm sure Flysurfer would help you.
Just my 2 cents.
and that's what I have done, the small damage is not worth of shipping charges
