Here it is, molded 2 race fins, to get one single foiled side and all I'll wrap in carbon. No sanding, or minimal, and top side flat as glass. Bottom foiled. Easy as. On the mold there is a race fins imprint, unfortunate but happened...The yellow one was first try, similar mold.

Used 240 grams of Entropy CLR epoxy, Super SAP

I really enjoyed this, thank you! It's funny how he's using a model saw for cutting the carbon with all this tools at disposal :) And the paint gun, nah, "I'll rather use a brush" :) Legend ! Same thinking tho!

A very simple wing, made of fiberglass cloth and epoxy only.

Nice.
Did you mold or sanded? How many FG layers on each side?

Thx

It was made in a mold; sanded only so much to make it smooth. Max thickness is about 1cm; I did not count how many strips of cloth I used but it was a lot -- had leftover pieces from my board projects, mostly 280 gram cloth (I guess it matches 8 oz cloth in US units).

Molding looks easier after the mold has been made but more work to make the mold . . . ? Assuming you want an original wing and not a copy of something existing . . .

To be fair, took me 1hr to make a mold...Not perfect this one, but who cares, since the mold produced a pretty decent result.
I filled the orig. fins void (where mini tuttle is), with a clay, getting a full length for a fuselage connection (not decided yet how to).

The beauty of this method is, I hope, to make a wing fast and dead easy. I might round the tips tho, and do the final touch.

Same mold for the back wing, isolate a section and that is a smaller wing. 2 bees with 1 shovel :)

If you wanted to design your own wing, you'd have to first make a wing to make a mold from, no? May as well just use the original, if you're not planning on making more than one . . .

Or you could use modelling clay then make your mold. If you had access to a 3d printer that would be very easy to bypass the mold making. But I agree on skipping the mold making and just wrap a core.

Am I using a wing? :) The race fins are good enough, and I already made two wings, one quite thick and one thinner.

The problem with all modern wings are the winglets. The epoxy would run off from the curved winglets area when making a copy (mold). I think only the flat wings can be copied easily with some simple skills as a home 'brew'.
