Looking really good Plummet :thumb:

It will work, only a matter of trim regarding straps and rear wing aoa maybe :D

I'd question usage of hardwood flooring for the core. This material is usually high density wood; the higher the density, the more scratch resistant the floor surface is. Now, high density translates into weight. Why not to use balsa for core?

Its bamboo core. I used bamboo because bamboo/carbon combo is extremely robust. I use that combo on my landboard and hit rocks every ride. That board is still going strong after many years use.
I have boulders lurking subsurface at my local. I expect at some point to hit one. Thus the rbbust core, additional thickness, bolting, fillets and layup around the fuse/front wing, mast and top plate.

You are right it is heavy. But my only requirement in that regard is that it floats. It floats so i am happy.

I am following the delta foil guys advice on rear stab aoa relative to the front. I've set it at 2 deg to begin with. I have no idea where to put the foot straps. So I will roll strapless until i get a handle of where the straps should be.

Bad idea IMO - you wont have a chance this way....

And IF you eventually learn without straps, you wont put them on later

Put one front strap on, so you can learn fast - put it quite forward, then it will be easy and safe, and if it is too far forward, you just put your rear foot further behind - works like a charm this way :thumb:

I read the learn with straps/strapless thread and came to the conclusion that the advice was 50/50. But i have nothing to loose by installing a front strap and trying it out. So i will do that.
