Just ran this test on 3/8" alum mast on a 1/2" alum fuselage...pass...
still wiggles a little. Compared my buddies MHL & Slingy....the MHL has wiggles too.....none in the slingy...didnt perform the official test here...

Yeah, I'm pretty stoked its in the normal range!. I wont what the newer design masts test like?

Just as a side bar - I recently tried installing cross dowels into a solid aluminum mast for a fuselage bolt on. While it was very strong, the barrel nuts dug into the aluminum and made elliptical holes - it looked awful...and I would imagine they would have increased under load over time.
