Lost momentum on my 70cm mast, and decided to do what I do best : build a board.
Am happy with my surfboard conversion, and had a machined blank left over.
Shaped it this weekend ( no wind)

I use the laser quite often. It's a self leveling with a horizontal and vertical laser in a line. lazer, not very expensive and it's useful.
Shoot horizontal att low angle from tail or nose to check cross section symmetry.
Line along rocker to check rocker.
Line up finboxes
Place carbon strips straight
Check that strut is vertical.

How are you attaching the foil, fin box tracks, or bolting through? What reinforcement, please?

I'm bolting through. In this board I put 80kg/m3 foam patch, 15mm thick on bottom, and 20mm dia epoxy plugs in the foam, then glassed over it.

This is a totally new build, designed blank from scratch to be a foil board
Finished and tested in Cabarete. Need to move front foothook even more forward. I'm thinking another 80-100 mm. Then I'll use it only for water start and then I'm riding" strapless "
My other thought is to take off the front hook and only use the rear one for water starts. I'm sure I can learn strapless water start now, but it's kinda nice to be able to take it easy during waterstart.
I'm working on second board now, a 120cm.

It looks great, but lets face it, not many of us can afford CNCed blanks
