Probably the wrong forum I know...sorry..but. I have a buddy who wants me to drop a couple of US fin boxes in his windsurf board so he can attach a Naish Windfoil. I have done this myself a couple of years back for my first kitefoil when I modded a Skillit to a plate adapter quite successfully. I dropped in a large piece of divinicell, dropped the boxes into the divinicell and laid 2 pieces of progressively larger carbon over the top of the whole construct lapped over onto the existing skin. it was perfectly good for kitefoiling but does anyone have any experience of the forces required for windfoiling? Should I be beefing it up even more than this?.
Cheers

your reinforcement should go all the way to the deck skin.
I would put a patch on the deck over the box location, too, and set the boxes in stringers or posts in the high density foam, something like:

That makes good sense.
Thanks
