V bagging the CF uni D on the bottom. 250g X2 layers.
Put 3 layers on deck, but it was difficult to get smooth due to faulty CF . So had to cut off the bad stuff.
I think it's going to be plenty stiff.

Flag53,
Sure there are! Greenlight surf supply has a great guide.
There's some challenges:
1. Where to get materials. If you live in a region with surfing, you'll find materials close by. Otherwise order online and pay for shipping.
2. Blanks are hard to get in many regions. See above. Seabase.eu has blanks in UK.
3. Tools: you'll need some tools. A electric hand planer, a electric router, and an electric automobile angle polisher. Polisher and router are cheap ones from big builders supply. Handplaner every geek says get a Skil but they are rarer than dolphins up here. I have a Black and Decker. A Sureform, some sandpaper etc. And don't forget a quality face mask with replaceable carbon filters. Shaping stands- have to make your own.
I highly recommend buying surfboard sanding pads. I had to order mine from the USA. They go onto the angle polisher. It's nearly impossible without them. Get a soft and a hard one.
4. A place to do it with the right light and right and stable temperature. You need low lights, so called shaping lights.
Don't do it if you're thinking you'll only make one board. It's not worth the investment in time and money.
I do it because if I don't make stuff, I will jump out a window.

3,2 kg without pad and foothooks. 3,5 kg with pad.
It's brutally stiff. Zero flex.
I could cut down on the carbon and save 200g.
Could use hexa traction and save a 150 g.
Light enough, short so there's not much swing weight.
