Hi all I’m considering making or having a friend make a short board ( 115cm ) and would prefer not to use tracks because of the weight.
How far from the trailing edge would you mount a Moses mast if you where only having one fixed point of contact ?
I also think that maybe two or three sets of holes would be a better lighter option than rails , is this correct. ?
What do you guys think / recommend. ?
Many thanks

It would either be a 550 or 558 or possibly the race wing at a later date !
Ps there’s not going to be any footstraps

Sorry for vague answer...
Rails act also as local reinforcement which you should use anyway. It doest end very different weight. But on 115 cm board i would like to be as far back as possible .
So if you - while riding strapless wont put your back foot behind the mast /some people do/ put it as far back as possible /greg style/.
Maybe 3-5 cm forward but not much more. Observe your back foot in relation to mast position and use it like base. There is not much moment from 115cm board to counterbalance so if you current board is longer and heavier count for it.
