I had an absolutely awesome kite experience today. Lake champlain, no snow just ice. Put on a pair of skis and worked my way about 5 miles upwind and 13 miles from where I started. Wind was 20 to 30 knots. I was on a Wook 9.5 and very lit. I had to struggle to hold my edge to work upwind. I decided to turn back, and go for broke. 18 minutes later, I was kite down 13 miles away. Totally wild full throttle 13 mile speed run. THis is one great sport. How much fun are we allowed to have in this life?
