The last storm has helped to keep things covered at Lizard Head. The snow is still pretty fun. The wind today on the other hand, yikes! I am a connoisseur of junky wind and let me tell you this stuff was dog balls. One second the kite would fall out of the sky, the next second a gust would literally yank me 20 feet straight downwind through the air. If anyone heads up there, I think my spine got yanked out so keep an eye peeled for it. Then to add insult to injury I tried one last jump over the running creek where I came up short and splatted in the far side mud bank. Was glad to make it outta there in one piece.

Plenty of snow on American Flats. The road crew is still plowing but it was open to where I wanted to park. Lite north north west wind. I worked my way up wind and found a spot that had pretty good wind. Kited there for a while then headed back to the truck.
Cool spot that needs good north wind to really do some exploring.

This post cracked me up! "dog balls" ...I'm going to add that to my wind adjective list.

Glad you got out. Thanks for sharing the... stoke? ;)

Mid June in the San Juans. Still some patchy snow left but maybe only north side kiting from here on out. Anyway, it still beats liquid.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME???????

Still snowkiting. June. Damn. Way to get after it Matt. When this melts, you may only get 5 "dry" months this year before you are back on snow.

This is the lousiest start to winter in a long time. There is no snow, I mean none! A little lake froze over. East-coasters, how the heck do you do this ice kite thing???

Break out that file and put an edge on those powder boards. Better yet pull out a pair of those 20 year old skis you got buried in your toy cave. JR

The ice is the best thing :)
We make a blade for mountainboard or longboard, and replace the wheels :)
