Punchy and gusty wind at times but fun to get some vert and laps in.

Mickey, Anthony, et. al,
I have work in T-ride tomorrow Thursday and will be up to Lizard Head by 1pm or so for the warm pre-frontal. See you there?

I am thinking about it. Looks like it’ could get pretty gusty and strong!
Might get there around 11am.
Flying was good today, pretty light but could feel the low press coming our way.

Yikes Mickey, that looks wild. Be careful up there! Anyone for Big Mac Saturday afternoon? West winds and blue skies.

I'm in! But you know I have newbie questions: Is a 6m a decent size for me tomorrow? I don't need to get a ride to the top at tram-like speeds—I'll be happy to just cruise back and forth and learn a few things by watching. If I have to skin a few laps I won't be too sad. And I might actually prefer to err on the side of being too small.

Matt, i ll be paragliding Gold Hill Saturday. Looks W , not too strong.
I ll try lizard Sunday with N.
Hope you get the good at Big Mac.
Soplo, you ll definitely be on the small size with 6m, so try skin a bit higher to launch and get better wind.
You guys have fun, looks like a bluebird day!

Btw, I was at lizard yesterday Thursday, around 11, but it was pretty horrible. Gusty and switching direction.

Looking good Tom! Is it Molas?
Matt, how was Big Mac? I had to cancel my paragliding flight due to blowing snow at GH.
Went to Lizard on Sunday, was strong N, on my 8m, but snow condition was very bad.

Tommy's photo is Big mac from Saturday. It was good to see you out again Tom! Good wind, great company, lousy snow "grasstrugi". Man we need a lot of snow .

I know this is the Colorado thread, but as it's the only active stoke filled snowkiting thread going, I figured I'd ask about the Big Horn Snowkite Masters next month!
Anyone going?

I'll be there. Hope to see some of you guys up at the lodge! :thumb:

Here's a fun video I stumbled across on the lodge;

In related COLORADO news, I drove over Rabbit Ears pass a couple times last week on the way to/from Steamboat. There is substantial snow coverage up there. The snowmobilers are having a field day. As I did not pack kites on this trip, I was not able to post any snowkiter representation up there.

Steamboat Lake also looked like it had substantial snow coverage for kiting.
