Lizard got some snow- coverage is correct and covering almost all bushes.
Even the SW spot should be rideable after today s storm.
Riding my 8m UL.
Wind was really gusty.

Strong west on MacMillan too. FINALLY there's enough coverage that isn't total boilerplate. Not perfect, but the basins have enough soft bits to enjoy. Beautiful up there with all the white smoke ripping off the ridges.

Sorry been busy/gone for a while. Got to hit 6 mile on lake Mojave, coming back from a too brief trip to Yuma. Hit it hard with some locals John, and Scott and others. Hit the Mesa 2 weeks ago nutty Gusty to 30 + it was extremely bony. Felt like hit by a bull at the end of the day. Up last Wednesday 6+ fresh. Weak winds ended up Charlie Browning my kite in a tree. But Finally back to Today. Ironton lake, sorry guys I didn't leave much fresh for you. On and off but when it was on it was good.

No good action pics on the solo mish but I kited from the road to the top of the Sultan last week. Strong SSW that day, and decent snow. I'd been wanting to do it for years!

This is the face I kited up. (SW face) Here I had to do a short portage thru some extremely uncooperative air currents and pesky willows.

Sure was tempting to drop in to North Star but prudence sent me back the way I came.

I hope all you snowkiting enthusiasts are making the best of a crap season.

Report on kite Lake Grand Mesa. Tom and I loaded up on snowmobiles, went out to kite Lake. A 4-mile ride. I got as close to my fantasy as I've gotten yet. I was able to travel across both lakes and past almost 2 to 4 miles in a straight line it was really great wind conditions steady 15 with gusts in the low 20s. The snow was wind blown, bumpy and rough, unfortunately. Hopefully it should improve a lot today with 6 in of fresh on top, this afternoon. Tom was on an 8 rebel north and I pulled out my trusty PL Escape 11
