Tug Hill

Postby alden » Wed Nov 19, 2014 1:43 pm

I see from the weather reports that Tug Hill has at least 6-12 inches of snow. Are there sites open to snow kiting for us now? Which sites should we go to?

There is one spot currently open but that needs to be confirmed.

I'm looking to head over there and get some more sites open for general use but, as all places change, it is good to ask each year as when owner ship changes unknown to then riders…to us kiters we can innocently create a storm of fury when the new owners don't want folks on their property and we think we have permission from the year previous

That happened to me in NH

The easiest way is to just ask by knocking on doors ands ask, they are usually friendly ( and busy) farmers looking to get work done

I'm not sure about the launches being open yet either. I was super pumped about the snow they were supposed to get after the last storm, but I checked the snow cams and it was a bust all the way around. This is what I use: http://www.northernchateau.com/northernchateau.htm
The entire left side of the page links to different snow cams around the Tug. If you still can't find out if any launches are open and we have enough snow, shoot me a PM and I will try to help.

Cheers!

Did you guys get all that snow they were calling for?

I've been wanting to get over there for years and was thinking about heading over for MLK weekend if there is good cover. Any spots that are open to use?
