Interesting crash. I'm glad the child wasn't involved.

Let go of the bar in a situation like this, and never hold on with one hand like the guy in the video.

Never use safety because it was not invented to situations like this. It is there to prevent drowning, not getting electrified. :duh:

I think the electric arc burned kitelines which was the saviour of this poor kiter. Otherwise the kiter would have been lifted to electric lines and fried.

Someone tell him, that if you want to stop, sit in you butt!

Works in the water and for downhill snowboarding as well...

Glad he is ok, could have been fatal.

Dude clearly looks overpowered. most folks never test their quick release and probally don't even know how it operates. big mistake as in an emergency guranteed u wont pull it. I check my release before I go out in sketchy conditions as it makes good muscle memory. Stuff happens fast sometimes while kiting but the only thing we can do is try to be a little more prepared by getting familiar with our equipment.
