Jackson Hole / snowkiting

Postby Nzkiter11 » Tue Feb 06, 2018 10:49 pm

I’m heading to Jackson for a boys ski trip end Feb (from New Zealand) and wondering if it’s worth bringing a kite - and if so whether anyone has any tips on spots / acessability?

Thanks in advance.

Look up Jackson Hole Kiters on facebook. Lots of info there. The spots are Bondurant, Togwotee Pass, & sometimes it works at Antelope Flats. When the wind direction & snow are right Bondurant is mind blowing. Definitely take your kites! The crew there are great folks happy to share their stoke with good people

You may not want to ski the resorts. Bring Big kite....14 if you have it. Maybe 1 medium size if you have room. Also if you get into Wyoming by the 16th - it might be worth coming up to the Snowkite Rodeo near Dillon, MT(Big Hole Pass). There will be lots of snowkite stoke going on that weekend.

I've skied almost every mountain in north america and Jackson is the best for advanced terrain, hands down. Get there early and get in line for the tram at 6am if it's a powder day, then lap the gondola.

Never snowkited there but there's lots of awesome terrain so i'm sure it's good
